Rain, Rain Go Away!

Of course, the Fair is the first week in August, and it almost ALWAYS rains then! And August is usually one of the wettest months of the year.

Maybe it' won't be so bad this year... Since July was so wet. Statistics say that July is either the dryest or the wettest month for Fairbanks.

We shall see, eh?

August 2, 2008 On our way to Camp Li-Way we spied a Turkey Lurky Mama and her babies crossing the road.	We didin't get the camera out in time to capture their crossing, but we did snap a couple once they were safe!

August 3, 2008 - After visiting the Tanana Valley State Fair, we drove downtown to look at the high-water in the Chena River.
It is 4022 miles to Dallas, Texas	And 4400 to Frankfurt, Germany!


A boatload of people came screaming down the river -- we don't think they ever saw the huge log by the bridge - even though they came VERY close to hitting it.
