December 1, 2005 Busy, busy day -- Arrive at 8:30am for the 10:30 show for school children from the Fairbanks area. Then we go back home, I hope. There are a few things I need to catch up on, in case Royce can come home. Royce is home, we are relieved in some ways that she didn't have to have surgery but it is frustrating not to have closure. She's a lot more patient than I would be! And STILL helping out so much around the house, right in the middle of all this hectic-ness of Emily's schedule. Back to the theatre at 6pm to get ready for the 8:00 pm show.
Be at West Valley at 8:00 am for 10:00 show for school children, with another performance at 11:30 am. Then home and "nap" until 6 pm, and back to theater. This is exhausting, and I'm not even dancing! I'm just a MOM. Noon preparation up for 2PM show. Break from 3:30 - 6PM and then get ready for the 8 PM show. I thought I'd have energy to go in beforehand to do the DBR but there was no way. I'm running on fumes. Arrive at 2PM for a 4PM performance, leave mid-way to attend the UAF Choir/Symphony Concert. Then go BACK to the theater to help "breakdown" the set. WHEW! Midnight and to bed. A good night's rest will set everything to rights and life will begin again, in normal mode! Right? Of course right! Wiped out. I woke up at 3:20AM with upset stomach, chills and ... other symptoms and couldn't go to work. Bummer, becuase I had SO much bragging I wanted to do. Now, (9 hours later) I am feeling a little better but still queasy. I threw my shoulder out somehow too... this has been a pretty violent bug. Emily has finally succumbed to a nasty, sneeze-wracking, cough-cracking cold. My plan is to convince her this is a good thing, since now she will be all well by the time to leave for Texas. We'll just hope we ALL are... because I'm sneezing too, on top of everything else. UGH!!!! NOT NOW, germs, not NOW! Achey all over. Who has time for this stuff? Gee whiz. Get over it. Doctor Appointment. I think it's at Noon. Can't remember. It was at 2:20. I like this health care provider a lot. He really listened and addressed all the issues I needed to know about. I have lab work and a week of blood pressure checks (while on medication) to go through, and then I'll know a bit more. In the meantime, I'm very happy to have changed clinics! Work. Work. Work. Emily is a redhead now! It fits her to a "T"!!! Tonight was her concert at UAF. She's just gorgeous. Work. Last day of instruction Monday, Dec. 12 Work. Planned study day (no classes) Tuesday, Dec. 13 No Work. Final examinations Wednesday-Saturday, Dec. 14-17  4:15 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 14. That's the moon! Last day for cleaning up. Work. Tonight is the Husted's Christmas Carol Party. That is always so much fun! We always look forward to it. Work. Today we drive to Anchorage and spend the night at the Westmark. Then we'll fly to TEXAS for the holidays. Dec. 20 Winter holiday (campus closed--to reopen Jan. 4 at 8 a.m.) Monday-Tuesday, Dec. 26-Jan. 3 See you in 2006! | ||
