Emily 2005 Emily           2005 is a particularly significant year for Emily. Her eighteenth birthday is in August.           This year she graduates from High School. In the fall of 2004, she switched from Ben Eielson on Eielson AFB, to North Pole High School. With her increased activity with dance and theater, she is spending more time in Fairbanks, so it made sense to move school closer and conserve time, energy and gasoline.           A few activities were left behind at Eielson, including her involvement in student government and AFJROTC. Unfortnately the caliber of AFJROTC at her new school is not that of Eielson's and she made the difficult decision to withdraw at Semester. Emily took her involvement in AFJROTC seriously enough that she would not continue to participate "halfway."           She throughly enjoys choir at North Pole, and of course has continued her dance lessons at Dance Arts Academy in Fairbanks. Her spring schedule is less strenuous than the winter, when she was at dance up to 13 hours a week.
