Dourte's Journal
2004

May 2004
May is another one of those extremely busy months this year.

Bill's job with Tanana Air Service officially ended May 1, as they closed due to the postal service allocation legislation thing... that little piece of work downsized or closed at least 3 local air services, putting a number of pilots out of work. He really liked working at Tanana, and the next couple of weeks will be critical as he job searches and we try to get by on my little tiny paycheck. Faith is gonna take us through this, and as I told my mother-in-law once about some occasion or another, "I will really enjoy this, once it is over." There aren't words enough to thank her for all the help she's given us in this crisis.

Emily keeps us hopping in May, with end of school activities and the Dance Arts Academy ballet recital. She is dancing in 6 sets this year. I was surprised (and relieved) that not very many costume alterations were required this year, since things have been so whoopsy-daisy in other aspects. I am really very pleased to be able to help out in whatever way I can, though. It's fun!
