My web affection/affliction began in late 1997, when I learned how to make fonts appear in colors on a CompuServe forum using HTML code. Soon after, I was hired by an acquaintance to sit in an office and answer phones, and told to re-write an HTML tutorial. That task introduced me to web page design and I haven't stopped since.
I'm more "old-fashioned" than most when it comes to web pages, because I realize everyone doesn't have a need to invest in the most recent computer equipment or internet connections, but still enjoy surfing the internet. Web design technology develops incredibly quickly, but the newer bells and whistles don't always seem to operate without some sort of download, upgrade or other hoop to jump through. While my personal pages may not have the flash and finesse so many do, my goal is to include folks who are not techno-nauts.
