I've Decided...
YES, I DO Want a Chihuahua!
You've decided you want a Chihuahua, and are looking for or have found a breeder. Ask yourself:
If this dog has any genetic disorder concerns, am I willing and able to give the care it needs and deserves for a happy, comfortable life?
If this dog does not get along with my other pet(s) or family members, will I be able to handle that, and how will I do so?
If there are no guarantees from the breeder about this dog, what difference does that make regarding my decision?
Is my home a good environment for a small, delicate dog, and am I willing to make whatever adjustments are necessary for this dog?
Am I willing to groom this dog as necessary, bathing, cleaning teeth, trimming nails, etc.?
This is a playful breed of dog. Do I have time and energy to spend on active interaction?
If there's a divorce, the heck with the house and the car, who gets the Chihuahua?
Am I willing to study a little bit and learn about my dog, so we'll understand each other as well as possible?
