Four Days!
This is only four days between cleanings.

Tooth cleaning times around here are Monday and Thursdays. (SPIT!)

Teeth cleaning is important because I can't floss and brush by myself. I eat dry kibble so that soft gooey food doesn't slime up in my mouth, and I chew rawhide treats, but that's still not enough to keep me clean. I really need to be cleaned at least twice a week, and if necessary, three times, so that I won't get tooth decay, gum disease and yuckky doggie breath.

I was trained to have my teeth cleaned while on my back in Joelle's lap, snugly tucked between her thighs with my head gently and firmly cradled between her knees. Deb has learned that I don't fit between her thighs very well at all. She's just too darn short, so I have learned to sit quietly on her lap or the table while she cleans my teeth. I lay on my back on Annie's lap just fine -- but Annie has longer legs than Deb. I'm adaptable, so I expect my humans to be a little flexible too.

Does she really think I don't know what she's up to?	Yeah, squeeze that sucker out, I don't like that stuff much!
Smell it? Taste it? What, are you NUTS???	I know Joelle holds me in her lap but your lap is shorter than hers is!
C'mon, lemme up and I'll cooperate, honest!	This is much easier, really it is. And I AM cooperating!
Sometimes I get the distinct impression that Deb takes advantage of my good nature.	Yep. She cleans every surface of every tooth... but as much fun as this is, Daddy Bill doesn't want to take any more pictures.
This is one of those instances where what works best for one caregiver is more difficult for another. When Joelle lays me in her lap, I know I'm going to have to do exactly what she wants. When Deb sits me down and starts work on me, I know to do exactly what SHE wants. But when Deb lays me down in her lap -- by golly, I expect pampering. (doggie grin) Next time Joelle visits, we'll ask her to clean my teeth and we'll take more pictures. (SPIT!) (What's with this "we" stuff, Deb, you got a chihuahua in your pocket or something?)
