Our Routine:
My care is not complicated,
but I insist on being cared for properly!

Busy, Busy, Busy

Daily

Maybe it's a dog's life, but that doesn't mean I'm undisciplined. I thrive on routine, it gives me a sense of security. Oh I DO enjoy a surprise trip somewhere occasionally, but an orderly lifestyle helps me maintain my calm, regal sense of self-control.

Every morning, first thing I go to the potty pen in the garage, freshly lined with newspaper.
I have to do *both* my "duties" before I get my breakfast.
My water bowl is filled with fresh water.
For breakfast I have a heaping 1/4 cup of kibble.
I have to eat it within 30 minutes or it's put away until I get fresh food at suppertime.
My family checks to make sure I'm energetic, my eyes are bright, and my appetite is good.
During the day we have several play sessions and at least one "relax" session.
Betweentimes when I am training and exercising my family, I like to play with my squeakies and chew on my chewie toys. If my family lets me get bored, I sometimes chew on my back toenails. That drives them nuts, but hey if I didn't have an imperfection, you wouldn't be able to relate to me, now, would you?
My family cleans up the newspapers every time I use them, and they take me to potty frequently.
In the evening I have another 1/4 heaping cup of kibble.
I have to eat it within 30 minutes or it's put away until I get fresh food at breakfast tomorrow.
On Wednesday or Thursday they clean my teeth. (SPIT!)

I like to have some chewing time before I settle down for the night.

My family picks up both my bowls and washes and dries them to be ready for tomorrow!

Before we go night night, my family tells me they love me, and we go off to dreamland.

Weekly

I have a bath each Monday.
Deb puts ointment in my eyes to protect them from shampoo.
She wipes off my face and around my eyes with a damp baby wash cloth,
then gently wipes out my ears.
I'm shampooed and completely rinsed, then towel dried, before I can shake.
I LOVE to ^SH_AK^E _!!^! ^SH_AK^E _!!^! ^SH_AK^E _!!^! ^SH_AK^E _!!^! ^SH_AK^E _!!^!
I'm thoroughly towel dried, then very gently and carefully brushed and blow dried.
Deb trims my whiskers, foot hair and trousers as needed.
She checks my nails and trims or files as necessary.
Then Deb or one of the girls cleans my teeth. (SPIT!)
